Hutchinson HUTCHINSON Spool O Wire spool stapling machine

Staplers that fashioned staples from a continuous spool of wire were marketed in the first half of the twentieth century before they were supplanted by modern staplers. The Spool O Wire manufactured by Hutchinson Office Specialties of New York was one of the leading models. This one is marked "Patent Applied For" dates it to prior to 1917, and according to its advertising made 15,000 staples from a single spool. 6" square x 4" high, mounted on a wood base. The handle moves but not sure if it works.
