A handful of these have surfaced over the years. They're clearly manufactured, with knobs and cutter holder identical to a Stanley 71, but a cross shaped body and deep central fence so would be used mostly to cut rabbets. One theory is that it was a prototype that Stanley experimented with, but they could also have been made by an unknown manufacturer. This example has been rejapanned, hardwood knobs have mild wear and a few checks at base, otherwise good.
